Corona means crown, and the name was attributed to the virus for its' spike like crown appearance. And who wears a crown but a king. This song was written to inspire others towards hope and a place of strength against fear and anxiety. We were not meant to bow down to fear as if it were king. I wrote this song as my own declaration and a call to action for others to stand with me. My hope is that they too, would not bow down in submission to fear and anxiety during this season.
My desire is that it would give people courage to believe that they could triumph like David, the shepherd boy, over the "giant" circumstances created by the corona-virus and anything else they face in life. The corona-virus isn't our first threat and it won't be our last, but we cannot give it more authority to rule over our lives than it deserves. It may wear a crown, but we, the world, don't have to bow down.
** Proceeds of this track go towards the victims of covid19 in my community, including struggling non-profit organizations such as the Merrimack Valley Music & Arts and others that strive to redeem the value of the arts in a time of turmoil and displacement. Creativity provides healthy coping mechanisms for stress, anxiety, and depression as well as new solutions for problems that arise suddenly, such as the covid19 epidemic.
Your Dollar can make a Difference.
Ever grateful,
